Hi all, I've been making this modeling for the speed modeling competition on Game-Artist.Net (modular fence). Since the deadline is finish and I'm pretty satisfy with the result, I decided to continue it. This is inspired from "Gears of War", using some techniques I've learned from Kevin Johnstone (senior environment artist). This is the high-poly version. Low poly version is coming! Any critics are welcome! :thumbsup:

A little shiny for stone. Are you still working on the texturing?

Looks good, cant wait to see the normal and specular maps applied to a low poly version.

My one criticism is that theres a clear repeated brick pattern for each piece. This is mainly seen around those 4 lighter bricks to the left and the dark and light brick layout at the bottom (speaking in regards to surface between borders).

Hi everyone! Thanks for the comments! I'm working on a low-poly version and the texturing. I'm gonna post them soon. :)

Take close care with having the brick pattern repeating.

modular systems are great, but attention is drawn to the repetitive nature by default,
i think you could benefit from making the brick patterns less distinctive on each section.
