Tell me what u think; it´s for a little animation, so I tried to keep the mats quite simpel. I´m still not satisfied with the water, perhaps some of you have tipps for me. Rendered with vray.

it looks very clean and clinical at the moment. the water would look a whole lot better to start with if you completely toned down the displacement of the waves, and desaturated that awfull blue colour.

what was it modeled in? and what was the method of doing the water? i find that noise and displacement work nicely for water.

Modelled in max 5.1; the water is just a box with a few segments, then a noise modif. applied to it + vray mat (reflections are frensel) + noise bump .
Thin u´ re right it´s that aweful colour.

You said you wanted to keep things simple, but the whole scene is WAY too clean...
I know nothing about water, so I can't even comment on it...It's a nice render though....
ruM's OUT...

Yeah you definately need to desaturate the blue in the water. Also I would make it less turbulent, it looks like a boat just speeded by. If that is the look that your going for then you need to consider scale. the waves are too big in proportion to the windows, for example.
And use a Fresnal reflection map on the water.
