Hi I am relatively new to 3D,
Can anyone point me to any tutorials for doing lasers in 3D?
You have to be able to see the same thing from any angle.

By the way I have no expensive 3D packages, just Wings3D and BLitz3D so I cant use any advice for professional tools.
Thank You

umm, what about just using a very long and thin cylinder? low opacity, but plenty of glow. If you are doing stills you could just put the laser in using photoshop or something similar.

I'm not sure if Wings3d or Blitz3d has a glow effect. If it does, just create a long cylinder with ambient light set to 100% and apply a glow to it. If your software doesn't have any kind of post-processing capability, there is a tutorial here (http://www.theforce.net/theater/software/3dstudiomax/romanlasers_tutorial/index.shtml) that might help. It's for 3d Studio Max 3, but the technique should work in any 3d application.

Hope this helps
