CGTalk - Python Animation Settings

Hi there,

I am trying to code in maya and cant figure out how to change the animation settings.
The things I need to change via code are:

The length of the animation (set to say 1000 frames)

Set the animation to playback in "real time"

Set the animation to playback as "pal"

Set the current frame to 1

And set the animation to start playing back.

I cant seem to find the relevant commands to do so within Maya

Im am coding using Python.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

import maya.cmds as cmds

cmds.playbackOptions(max=1000)
cmds.playbackOptions(aet=1000)
cmds.playbackOptions(ps=1)
cmds.currentUnit(t='pal')
cmds.currentTime(1)
cmds.play(f=1)
