Hey guys. Just wanted a few comments on the progress of this thing. It's a space freighter. Very large, used for heavy lifting. That little bowling pin thingy in the second pic represents a person for size comparison. These are just some detail shots.

It comes from this concept sketch (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=91113).

Nice start. Do you have the computer power to make more modeled detail or were you heading to texturing already?

Yup, still working out the details. This is going to be a high-poly model with lots of details. I could just texture them in, but then it wouldn't feel right.

So far it measures up to about 83,763 polys. Jeez, this things going to be tough to texture.

hehe, good idea adding the little guy for size reference.

I would suggest using more bevels, so far most of the model is made out of primitives, make it more complex.

I started to but then I realized that as I went, a lot of it was going to go unnoticed. Also, parts that I had beveled I ended up removing due to additional elements being placed over them. So, as it stands, I'm going to wait until I'm finished before I choose which parts are to be beveled and which can remain 'primitive'.
But thank you for the input. :D
