View Full Version : How to get Blender to recalculate weights when adding bones?
javierdl 12-16-2010, 07:35 PM After subdividing a couple bones in Edit mode, I went to Pose mode and moved the bones around, and I can see that the new bones are not blue as the rest of the skeleton, but the mesh is not following them either.

Select the desired bone in Pose Mode. Shift+Select the mesh then Ctrl+Tab to enter Weight Paint Mode. There will be no coloured vertices for the new bone. Just start painting to assign vertex groups and paint weight.

I was hoping for an automatic kind of way ;)
At least I won't have to start from zero
Thank you 2hot :)
