The shareware 3d application for the freeware renderer Povray has been released some days ago.
Povray isn't very up to date but it is completely for free and with Moray 3.5 (about 80 euros if you want to buy it) it is a powerful tool for cg beginners. :beer:
The new thing about Moray 3.5 is that it supports polymodelling which makes a lot usefuler than before. :applause:
