Here is some more info on Bonus Tools Booster
Bonus Tools Booster Pack Update: This is an update to the Bonus Tools for Maya 5.0. It is compatible with both Maya 5.0 and Maya 5.0.1. If you've downloaded the Bonus Tools prior to October
2003, you'll want to obtain this update.
The Booster Pack includes new procedural textures, polygon and UV tools, and Trax commands, together with a number of bug fixes. This is a complete set of the Maya Bonus Tools and can be installed over the old version as described below.

The procedurals alone are great.

Hmm, I updated my original 5.0 Bonus tools with the new booster pack but I haven't discovered any new textures/procedurals. OTOH, I am a newbie to MAYA so chances are I'm just overlooking the obvious. :-) Where should I be looking or what should be different? Thanks.

Never mind- looks like I shouid visit the Plugin Manager more often. After years with LW this should have been something to check before asking. I guess I do need to look into how to create those samples though for the Hypershade. Time to dig through some manuals again I guess. :wise:

Dang, trying to simply have an Icon show up for the new textures is harder than I thought(still haven't figured it out!). The plugin files work but just have an empty square for an Icon. I rendered out some small iff's(100x100) to use but can't find out what to do with them. I even tried renaming them to swatches in a .mayaswatches folder I created in the BonusTools plugin folder but that didn't work. Probably no surprise to somebody that knows how this stuff works. :-) Anybody know the correct(workable) way to do this? Thanks.
