View Full Version : ncloth shirt penetrations

good day to all. just need to ask how you would fix your ncloth when it penetrates a collision object? for example, a characters shirt. cant avoid it when the shirt part between the armpits penetrate the arm or body. how would you fix this?

all depends on exactly what your problem is...

one method is use a Disable Collision Constraints on the verts of the body such as the armpit, which will stop collisions, stopping any crushing of exploding polys, but of course the cloth will go through the body... in armpit areas where you dont see this, its ok.

other methods, if you must collide, is to use a blendshape for the collider, where you push or pull in or out from the normals, to move the collision farther away so it doesnt make polys explode.

you can also paint wieght maps on the cloth or collider to dampen or make things react less...

or use constraints or input mesh attract to constraint the cloth to the body so it never goes through...

really, alot of ncloth problems need to be solved on a per shot basis...
