Well finally after feeling I procrastinated enough, I got around to attempting the explosion from Backdraft which is here

I will have to work on my shader and time scale.

Here is a preview of the latest progress I've gotten. Obviusly I need to expand the container and still have yet to work on my shader. Render coming up soon.

Here is my second update, I played around with the fire and smoke afc and shaders and changed up the particle source a little. I do realise it looks fluidish and not like an explosion but I liked the motion of this one and next update I will try to aim for realism. I hope you like it. Criticism is welcome :).

This update i fixed the motion a little and the particle source and lowered the smoke dissapation to make it disappear more quickly. I only simmed and rendered 70 frames so its not the full length explosion, though in the final composite it should be longer.
