I am working on a project where I need to use Studio Max to do a projection. I set up the scene, rendered out the grey model and painted it and re projected (in this case I am talking about the third tree back on the left that looks like a blob).
The image is coming out blurry and I can't figure out why. As a test I did a quick projection on the building on the right and that is blurry too.
Any ideas? I am trying to avoid unwrapping all of these if possible.
I set the scene, built my shot cam. Built the projection cam above and behind the shot cam. I rendered the grey model from the projection cam as a targa and also as an rpf. I edited the image in photoshop, built the alpha as well. Back in Max I applied the material to the geometry, for the diffuse box I used Camera Map Per Pixel. Selected the projection camera for the camera slot and used the edited image as the texture. loaded the rpf file for the Z buffer and checked it on. I loaded the mask into the mask slot as well. And here is the result I get:

I would rather project these so i can do all my color correcting at once in one file instead of doing individual uvw unwraps.
I've done projections in maya before without a hitch, but this is the first time in Max.
Any ideas?
