View Full Version : Maya Fur/Hair Issue

Hi there,

This is my first post and i was wondering if anybody can help me.
My issue is this: I have selected the faces making up the sculp of my character and duplicated them to create a separate mesh. I have applied a fur preset (squirrel) to this separate piece of geometry and used the paint attributes tool to make the fringe of my character shorter.

When I apply a Hair system to the fur, all the Fur follows the Hair curves EXCEPT for the fringe area where I have painted attributes.

Please help me I am approaching a college deadline and need to resolve this issue.
I'll even credit you at the end of my animation, if that is any kind of incentive :)
