Hi all,
In this challenge I'll try to recreate the parting of Red Sea by Moses.
The software I'm going to use is SideFx Houdini.
Good luck to all!

here we go! :-)
This is my first wip,
Starting to discover a method of my interpretation to divide the ocean.
I'll have to have to add some noise at this step.

eheheh...Maya is an important software to make a more complete VFX artist, so it isn't a waste of time knowning it a little...
But Houdini isn't a common software...It's another Universe. It definitively kills the idea of
Black Box.

go go go :scream: buddy ....
keep the very good work up

Great start! I look forward to seeing it develop.
Are you using flip fluids?

thanks!
I'm using grid based fluid cause it's more suitable to shaping to a big scale water mass ;-)

Update:
Added some noise variations to get a more organic and interesting shaping.
Putting some environment.

very nice buddy ..
i like the noise you made ... it made it much much better..

but one thing i don't like...:D
in sec. 6 the water while it was returning back it had an obvious force trying
first to make it ease out then go back ... i think you understand what i mean :curious: ...

and another thing "but i'm sure thats because its a test and you will fix it" :)
that the 2 parts are identical in every movement...

 but nice work ...
i'm looking forward to see your final results...
keep going man ....

Yeah, but that kind of look, that kind of slipstream is what I was researching for, but
I'll try ti smooth it!
Thanks
