Hi! I wanted to show you my current Rig Demo Reel.

Feel free to give your opinion, I have a couple of things I want to add so I'll be redoing it soon... ;)

Demo Breakdown
Rigging Techniques:
- Stretchy Limbs with Volumetric deformation
- Reverse Foot
- Seamless IK/FK Switching
- Mirror & Flip Controls
- Pin Controls with Animation Bake
- Seamless Global/Follow Switching
- Dynamic Main Pivot with Animation Bake
Facial Rig
Game Rig (using Unreal Development Kit)

Hey.

Good Reel. Very solid stuff, I enjoyed watching it. It really may be a minor thing, but I'd personally look at tweaking the order. I'd like to see the more of your professional work first, such as the Quest School and the in game rig. Both of those looked very good. I'm always get a bit turned off when a rigging reel is just someone rotating and moving controllers in maya for 3 to five minutes! Your's is not like that, of course, but someone may not watch past the first minute or so, even though the dummy rig looks very technically sound (and almost the same, feature for feature, as one of my personal rigs on creative crash ;)). I'd leave the tech demos a little later, again that's just me.

And I'd, personally, like to see the in game character with a bit of animation on him and have a bit more time on screen, even if it's some mocap. I always like to see low budget rigging, it's hard to get good deformation with very little and his deformations looked good. Was he from any production? if not, what did you render it with (it looked in game, but may have been comped)? it looked nice dude!

Good stuff though.

Yeah, you're not the first one to suggest me to tweak the order and put the professional samples at the beginning. ;)

I'll have some things added at the beginning of the next year so I guess I'll change it then.

The in-game character is just a test to try the "awesomeness" of the Unreal Engine 3. The model and textures were made by a good friend of mine and a great artist (portfolio (http://juliolopezart.carbonmade.com/projects/2642926) ). I did the rig, a simple animation and found out how to put it inside the engine.
