Lime Juice Art is a portfolio site created by Mark Geyer. Mark hopes this site inspires you to draw and to use programs like Photoshop and Flash to the fullest and to keep expanding art, meaning be different...

You need flash player 6 to enter the site.

great artwork, just a couple suggestions
in the flash section, you might wanna consider making the whole box in which each scaled down version is shown a hotspot, it can get a bit tedious to click on the tiny figures :)
also, consider making it so that when the user clicks from one image to another, making the first one disappear. i found that if i clicked one image, then another, the second was hidden behind the first, with no way to hide the first one.
A rather nit-picky comment: consider having the buttons already labeled....a user, although unlikely, might, at first, be thinking "which one was the links button again?" etc. just a minor thing though

love the green though, keep up the good work!

Thank you so much gunther_mcfly,

I really appreciate your comments. You do have some great points that I've been pondering over myself. I think I'll go back and fix those certain things. Well alright thanks again for your comments.

And if anyone else has any comments, please post.

I think that the labeling of the buttons is not nit-picky at all, it is a serious problem. Without pre-labeling the buttons your entire navigation system is unneccessarily complex, not to mention that the empty buttons look bad and I was not even sure at first if they were buttons. While I believe that flash has give artists the power to allow the user to engage the piece more fully, don't forget that these are still web pages, and if you really want people to interact with your art you should not make it a tedious task. The most important thing on a site is the navigation, the work is secondary (but still very important) and doing what you have done is hampering peoples ability to fully injoy your great artwork.

Few comments:
----------------------

_try making a slightly better splash page; try keeping one theme of colors/design (ie right now your quotes / counter / enter button are all different)

_maybe make the counter less obstrusive - it doesnt look professional...

_you should make a preloader, took a few seconds to load, even with broadband

_ i agree that buttons should be filled

_why does the user (in the galleries) to click the images to make them go back ? can't you do that automatically so that images for instance dont load (become full size) under other images. Or maybe change the depth each time...

why does everybody feel the need to pop up new windows for flash apps ??

'nyway, good work =)...

I kind of updated it a bit.

This weekend with the flash, I will unload a picture when you click on another one, cause it would just look nice-er.

Ok thanks for all the great comments, so far!

Keep 'em coming...
