View Full Version : Simplistic sprite interparticle collisions ?

Just wondering how to set up a particle system to have around 40 sprite particles (of a small animated file), which just orbit randomly, and can bump into each other ?
I've not use any dynamics before, as I usually do lighting.

if you are using maya 2011 use nParticles and apply a low level turbulence field to the particles.

if your not using maya 2011 its a bit more complex. Use a radial field with apply per Vertex turned on and use your particles as the source of the field.(under the field menu) tweak for collision detection.

Thanks for that.
In the end I used CC Particle World in AE, and just ignored the interparticle collisions for now :surprised

However, I shall give it a go next week to see how it all works :thumbsup:
