hi i want to rig my character so that it'll be compatible with motion builder
usually i use tsm (the setup machine) for my rigs but i know it wont work with mb, is there any other ready skeleton i can use to work with mb? (with the correct naming and all)

Thanks

You don't have to follow Motionbuilders naming convention but its easier since you don't have to drag-drop each joint manually when you're in the characterization menu. All you need is a skinned character, then the whole rig process is solved within MB. :)

Hi abazou,

I don't know exactly how TSM works in terms of controls/naming conventions it creates, but you can export basic types of constraints to MotionBuilder.

If you want to use the character control rig in MotionBuilder you only need to create a basic FK skeleton and skin it; the control rig will take care of the constraints and controllers.

I have a few tutorials here that might help you with your pipeline,

MotionBuilder Pipeline (http://mocappys.com/?p=90)
How to Characterise a character in MotionBuilder (http://mocappys.com/?p=32)

Let me know how you get on or if you have any questions
