View Full Version : how to make 2 avis(one is footage&other is alpha) into1?

Ok, i´ve got 2 movies(the same). One of them is the Alpha channel and the other is the actual footage. Now how do i load the footage avi it in A.E 5.5 and then say to the software that i want to use the other Avi as the ALPHA CHANNEL?

hope there is a way cuz i worked on the ALpha channel manually FRAME PER FRAME(about 360) o_O

Easy, put the matte on top of the image and choose it as track matte :)

I might be wrong but I dont think avi's can hold a alpha channel. Try using tiff or tga instead.

I think what he means is that both .avis are just RGB, but the second one he wants to use as a Matte (and hence is B/W) - if so, opacity's solution will work perfectly
