I'm doing Michael Thompson's nurbs modeling tutorial modeling a Subaru WRX. One of the instructions is to split the hood into two pieces.

I have created this surface from cv curves and need to split it at an isoparm. I've tried several things but they all fail.

How can I split or boolean this surface into two different surfaces???

I've tried the boolean command but I get an error using a nurbs plane as my slicing tool.

right click on the surface and select isoparm. then select one of the isoparms or drag one into the position where you wanna split. then edit surfaces-detach surfaces.

Sven to the rescue again...

I'm out of the saddle until Monday, but rest assured I'll be giving this a shot.

Thanks,
Michael
