Done in MAYA 4.0

Hello, I would like to have some feedback on this Griffin head I am working on. All polys except nurb eye balls. I don't expect to add lot detail to the model because it will be rendered and put in a 2D graphic environment (like Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong Country).

As for your model, Looks pretty good so far, but why does it have those two different levels of complexity in the wireframe? I'd like to see more of the model and maybe some different views before giving a more thorough review.

About the Griffin's neck... it will be featherly. I plan to have feather edges from the head overlapping the lower neck. The feather edges will be done using texture alpha channel.

Hello. I enjoyed your Griffin. Nice model and design. I realize what you're using the model for ultimately, but the mesh is much too dense. In the end 4000 polys are going to look the same as 400 polys, so save yourself some rendertime.

The head looks a little smashed. I don't think the eye brows should cover the eyes quite so much. They look fine in the side view but curve down a little to much when you look at it in the front view. Other than that it looks really good.

AIPh Pretzel, Thanks... I am not extactly sure how to reduce the polys after I "smooth" them. I could "reduce" it but it usually gives the model a jagged look.
