View Full Version : Pouring Wine
dcbittorf 11-09-2010, 10:12 PM I would love some feedback on this project I'm working on. Here is a wine pour modeled and rendered in Maya. Wine pour uses Maya's nParticles.

That looked pretty good to me, I've been wandering how Maya's liquids look. Is that using 2011?
It does look a little lumpy at the end, is this due to not setting the resolution high enough?

Yes I used Maya 2011 but could have achieved same results with Maya 2009. There is a poly mesh over the particles with a fairly high resolution. I think if the actual nparticles would have been smaller it would have looked less lumpy. Thanks for the comments.

I thought Maya 2011 had surface tension whereas older versions did not, or did you not use this feature?

Was not aware of surface tension in 2011.
