For the life of me, I can't find instructions on how to load mutliple actors in a single take. I have two MoCap files of a couple hugging each other, I don't know how to get them in the same scene and take (always coming in as two takes). Anyone feel like stooping down from above and telling me?

Copy the name of the 'take' you'll be merging your character(s) to, then 'File>Merge' select your file and make sure to paste the name of the take you're merging to in the 'As Take' field of the merge options.

Ok, so I found that I need to rename all the elements in the first file, so that the second does not just replace them (character, actor etc). As you suggest, I then copy the name of the take, paste it into the 'As Take' field of the merge options and everything looks good, except that one of the marker sets has dissapeared completely, so the chracter is not responding to the skeleton. Keeps on happening.(EDIT: Sorted it by renaming marker sets). Thanks blipper.

Might be a naming conflict in which case you need to make sure the characters being merged together have different names.

Start obviously with making sure the character name in the navigator panel of the file being merged to is different to the name of the character being merged in.
Then go to schematic view (ctrl + w) and right click + space the root of the characters' skeleton heirachy to select all, then right click on the root again and select 'add/remove namespace' - put anything in the empty field.
You will need to select any part of the character mesh(es) that might have a naming clash with the soon to be merged character and do a similar action of right-click add/remove name space.

Just remember, before exporting your final animation to go back to the schematic view and remove whatever you put under 'add/remove namespace' or your native animation app won't receive anything useful.
