Ok...time to start my thread on this one. Here's a really rough idea...just to get the ball rolling. I'm making an ugly spider beastie to sit on, or in front of the spider web. What do you think?

Thanks!

the spider web is a nice touch, should be almost transparent with just specular highlighting probably on it, to give it a just barely there look, thoughts anyway

Yeah cool start
I see you say this is only rough, so I won't give any crits on textures or anything, because I know you are still going to work on them ;)
Looking forward to seeing the spider :) You should make it a giant spider, with humans caught in it's web!! That would be very cool!! It would take some minor modelling adjustments, to adjust the proportions... just an idea :p

Wow...am I getting my butt kicked in this one or what!?! The entries I've seen so far are amazing!

Anyway...here's an update. I know the spider only has 6 legs...he's enchanted :p

Comments??

Nice stuff so far. I think the only crit I have right now are the leaves. Right now they look too big to be attached to that tree. I believe you are trying to make it look like that branch with the leaves is coming out right over the camera. Is that right? If so what I'd recomend is add a larger difference in scale to the leaves. What I mean is to have the leaves that are close to the base of the branch scalled at least in half. And maybe have the leaf which is partly out of frame scaled about a third bigger. That will help show that the branch is coming out towards the viewer.

Good work ,I like the spider
I think u need to add some bump map to the tree cause it's seams to be so smooth and get the roats alittel pushed under the ground ,and sorry the water texture is still not looking good
keep going and good luck

OK...unfortunately I've not had the time to really go where I wanted with this...and no free time in the near future. So this is probably the final update for this one. :annoyed:

Thanks for lookin!
