San Juan as in San Juan Puerto Rico?
AS IN BACK HOME????
Wow.
It seems a lot more survived the crash of the mothership.
Have fun proton.
Send me an E-mail and I'll give you some pointers about the Island and where to go for fun.
Remind them to take you to the Old City
and specially the castles.
Have fun.

I was so home sick that my wife made "arroz con gandules y pernil" oh my GOD was I in heaven!
have a blast Proton, in San Juan is alot of fun. You will like the Old San Juan arquitecture so I hope you took your camera with you. If you go to "el Castillo del Morro" make sure you check out the School of Plastic Arts right in front. It is a fine arts school. I studied there painting and sculpture before coming to the States.
Post pics when you get back!

"pernil" is Pork roast ;)
Maybe you can find "Lechon a la barita" which is a whole pig cooked over charcoal and rotated slowly with a stick, I don't know exactlly how to translate that to english
Or try "piononos" which is ripe plantains wrapping ground beef then dip in eggs and then fried or for a snack try "papa rellena" which is a ground beef stuffed potato, good stuff.
Sorry to hear about the weather, that sucks. I love taking pics of Old San Juan Arquitecture, maybe one day I'll model a piece of it.

Let me see what I can dig and I'll post 'em on my site, it might take me a bit tho...

Welcome back Proton!
I hope you got some sleep.
The concept of partying is something of a
science in Puerto Rico.
Looking forward to the pics.
