sanner or digital camera? shouldn't be that hard to make one yourself no?

Thats what I tryed. The scan is black because of the chrome. And the Digital camera i have can't get the closeup. the macro sucks on my camera!! I found some stock images but they are to expensive!!

You should paint your dime with some flat white paint and try scanning it again.

Another option I suspose would be to take a rubbing of the coin and scan that. Depends on how good you are at taking rubbings and what the relief on the dime is like.
(Note: I haven't tried this)

couldn't this be classed as counterfeiting?
from a purely legal standpoint you understand...i mean if it was notes...you gonna get locked up for sure...as for dimes...well i guess they are ten a penny!...erh dime...:blush:
it kinda is but its also for artistic purposes, we hope.
I mean your not using this for counterfiting are you buddy?
