hello,i write a mel script and show the window as normal,but "Generate" then appear some errors like this:

// Warning: file: /Applications/Autodesk/maya2011/Maya.app/Contents/scripts/others/doDelete.mel line 101: Nothing is selected. Select objects or components to delete. //
// Error: //
// Error: Line 0.17: Syntax error //
// Error: //
// Error: Line 0.25: Syntax error //
// Error: //
// Error: Line 0.44: Syntax error //

I dont know the line 0.17 ,0.25,0.44 which line do i find.
plz,help me .

it's pretty clear that you have nothing selected.
why do you want to use 'DoDelete' instead of simply 'delete'.
you could do somthing like this... if(size(`ls -sl`)) delete; still i'd advise you on looking into the basics of scripting before you try to do anything more complex.

thanks,ManuelM.I have use the delete instead of DoDelete.I just can't understand '// Error: Line 0.17: Syntax error // ' means... Line 0.17? I find the Line 17 without any syntax error...

the . notation means character position:

line#.character#

So it's line 0, character 17 where the error is being triggered.
