View Full Version : How to get an image looking like it is frozen?
fxgogo 10-07-2003, 04:17 PM I am wanting to make a image look like it has been frosted or frozen. This will eventually be animated, but if it can be done in PS, I should be able to replicate it in AE or commotion. Any ideas?
So far I have been able to displace an image and overlay it over a light bluish background. This does create a basic look quickly. I am looking now to get those streaks of air that freeze with the water.

I'd be painting a custom image. Look for lots of reference. There's really no other way if you want to get realistic results.

Some time ago we did somethink like this [just for test]:

It's color correction and painting over the original image, also some fragments of snow's/ice's photos were used.
Hope it helps.

Selim,
What Ice and snow photos did you use in your image?
Very nice image by the way,are they part of a photo texture pack,or shots you took yourself?
