Title: Classic interior + details
Name: Marcin Jastrzebski
Country: Poland
Software: CINEMA 4D, Fryrender, Modo, Photoshop
Hi
Here is my latest interior in classic style. Additional effects like bokeh, DOF, glare, bloom and others are fryrender effects. Every render was also finished with little postproduction in photoshop. Thanks for viewing.
model: Modo, scene setup: Cinema 4D + Fryrender
few furniture models are taken from evermotion archmodels, design.ru and turbosquid.
Best regards
Neb

Beautiful interior.
As always, details give to the scene a totally photorealistic mood.
I've only to agree with the comments about courtains, their modeling made them looking a bit "plastic".
Anyway you did an awesome job.

Is this really CG?
I see chromatic aberration. Is there a shader that does it? It is what makeing it real.

This is great. I know fryrender can do this and it's you who did it. I want to say the reflected light casted on to the wall at the back is too strong. But since the render is physically correct, I think I'm wrong. The statues look perfect. Are they 3d-scanned models? The only imperfection seems to be on the curtains and the table cloth. The wrinkles don't look right. Are they simulated cloth or not?

amazing work with great details.keep up the great work.
Thanks all!
Daimondo - I'm thinking about making off
ramonesFAN - yes, right, I like details too :)
HapZungLam - thanks, a chromatic aberration effect was done in fryrender and little in photoshop CS5. Every glow, light dispersions and bloom effects it's fryrender effects.
fantasizer - thank you. I bought models from evermotion, design.ru and turbosquid. I think the statue model it's scan 3D or Poser base model. I was bought curtains model from turbosquid.

Wow. The attention to lighting is simply bringing this master piece into photo realistic content. I figured some of the models would have been taken from another site, there seems to be a lot of effort put into all of this to be 100% done by a single individual. Even the close ups are photo realistic..

These are all very photographic. I think that one the first image however, that the warmth you created with the lighting in the background would look great if you were to have carried it more in to the foreground. I feel like it puts me a bit too far back and out of the image, like I'm standing over in the cold side of the room.

Unbiased renderers like fryrender (what he used) take more time than a traditional renderer, but they create wonderfully realistic images. And they do it incrementally, reducing noise with each pass. This means you keep it going until you are comfortable with the noise level.
In his case, he decided to wait a whole day to have it perfectly clean (you can't see a bit of noise in those renders), but a 12 hour render would probably not show much difference.
Anyway, fantastic renders, Marcin ;)

As far as any faults go, I don't quite see what others seem to regarding the cloth; the only thing I notice is that the Venus figurine is a bit too detailed for her medium. It would be nearly impossible to carve real marble with such detail and with that clean a separation between the fingers and between the arms and the body at that scale. Regardless, this is still the best CG work I've ever seen!

Wow. Absolutely beautiful. I do have a question though... how did you manage to make it so realistic, and yet feel so "clean?" A lot of times in CG, materials start to feel fake and plastic-ey without a subtle layer of grime, but here you managed to stay clean and totally photoreal. Is there something subtle you're doing to the textures, or is it due to more complex shaders?
jozefslezak
12-20-2010, 07:20 AM
I think the curtains are very close since the material used in reality is very heavy and thick. some times it use to fold in the way one would not expect.
Marvelous render! love the closeups. Curtain folds looks kind of strange, doesn't feel like cloth, more like plastic, needs more organic/ natural folds.

LucasMartell - Good and advanced shaders ( materials ) = good render I think :) I'm also use hi-res textures but good complex shaders gives you realistic effects.
Lovely renders. I do agree about the curtains but that doesn't take away the goodness! :)

Hey absolutely amazing work! You are a phenomenal lighting and texture artist!
My only issue with this scene is the marble horse statues hoof.. It feels like it is floating. Perhaps I'm just not seeing it, but should there not be a bit of shading and reflection where it touches the mantlepiece?
