Hi all, and thanks for taking a look:

This "Semi-Cartoon" turtle was made as a personal challenge
the goal was to make an appealing character in 3 days incl. mapping
from scratch.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thank you for checking it out,

I like him too:) The head seems a bit untextured compared to the rest of him though.

Hey its a character.

Here's some things I'm going to point out.

His shell pattern really really reminds me of a soccerball. Could be good, could be bad.
The pattern doesn't continue all the way down to the same legnth around the bottom of the shell. You know in about the middle of the shell its a different texture. It is a nice uniform end around the head untill the middle part of the shell. Maybe this was intentional but it sticks out as odd too me.
O and those little ear things, aren't those on snails?? I didn't know turtles had them, though I could be completely wrong.

Those are some things that stuck out to me.
Nice job for 3 days by the way

I say more texturing on the head, apart from that it's a cute model :)

Thanks guys for all the input! Much appreciated!

About the textures, you're right. Maybe there should be some more details in the face, the reason I didn't do that
was to keep the face clean and like the part on the animal that "shine" the most to keep focus on his facials.

The "snail" detail was included to bring more feeling to him, it's a toon-turtle anyway. A turtle is called "SkilPadde" in Danish.

About the "soccerball", it was quite a challenge to model that part, I guess I should have stuck with a turtle's original
design, but I thought I'd try something different.

Again - thanks for your valuable input!

Btw: I'm building a scene for him, please check out the wip's in the wip section of this forum
your feedback will be incredibly helpful! Thanks in advance!
