hey,

This could possibly go in the flash section but i think it'll get better feedback in 2d wip.

I have a sky in flash and want to create clouds simular to these

rolling in and then dissipate.

How could i do this, i dont really want to create in painter/ps and then export frame by frame cause i wante to watch the file size...

Thanks

Perhaps using several layers of varying opacity. Just have them change shape and flurry like clouds. Maybe 5 layers? You may have to go with a more 2-d animation style than trying to replicate clouds closely. I do think that using multiple layers with the translucent (non 100% or 0% opacity) will create some similar effects. Obviously using white as the color. when the fainter layers overlay, they should create your brighter whites.

Then again, it has been a while since I have used Flash(tm), but I believe they have the translucent behavior now. You also might kill lower end machines with that, since they have to render it.

Yea thats another good point, i dont wanna kick the lower spec machines to dust.

Good idea though, thanks ill give it a shot cause it sounds like i could experiement pretty quickly.
