Another image from the backwaters of my mind, and yet another image containing robots and fish. You know it just occurred to me that with all the axle grease and scaley denezins floating about in my head, it's probably getting a might bit ripe in there.
<edited by Tito: Image replaced with one hosted on CGNetworks gallery to prevent dead links.>
<Thanks a ton guys... I'm in the process of chaging providers so this doesn't happen again... I was never this popular! Thanks to everyone who helped break my site ;)>

Let me add my applause to this long list. Anything that has fish floating around in it has got to be something special!
My only critique would be that I lose the bot's right arm into the background. It may help to lessen the value contrasts in the background to push the robot to the front.
Keep adding to your robot series!!
Man, I really love this and your other robot series! The colours are so warm and inviting, sort of a 50s retro look but still fresh. But what does it all mean? The fish, the 19...and all the robots. I wonder what's in your head =)
10-06-2003, 06:30 PM
Nice picture and i really like the colour scheme but are those stars on that robots nips?:D
10-06-2003, 06:55 PM

creative and neat

Nice palette, I tend to explore more colors, which i always regret when the piece is finished, i gotta learn how to restrict to an artistic and not overblown spectrum.

You seem to be able to create great mood. Do yo uplan to make any of these characters in 3D?
ps. No S#!t Jack.
(you should do some jack burton paintings. That'd be hot!)

Excellent work. I like the piscene and numeric touches. Reminds me of one of my favorite illustrators: James Christiansen. He's always throwing fish, frogs, numbers and latin phrases into his compositions to keep things interesting.
Top notch, sir!

10-07-2003, 01:15 AM
Great stuff! I love the idea!
Good luck with the ripe fish and axel grease. Mabey pick up a box of extra long 'Q-Tips :)

I really like your work, very inspirational. Thanks.

That artwork really has a strong sense of story to it. You really want to find out what the key does, what the character's purpose is and what the gears do. The pose and lighting are wonderful.
10-07-2003, 07:13 AM
very nice....veery impresive.
10-07-2003, 07:46 AM
Awesome style you got...and the kooky concepts with your bot series. I remember coming across your site maybe a year or more ago, still got the birthday bot and some others saved on my drive. :) Tried modeling one in 3D but didn't get too far.
I also enjoyed the "time lapse" pics of the blender bot on your site. I'm glad the series is continuing, keep them bots rolling off the assembly line!
Whatever ripe mixture is in your head, its a good one! :D

let me swim in your head man.
stronger than the 3 in your previous post. those symbols however, probably more an aesthetic then a story. so less feelings than your icarus's fish.
anyway i like the deco and russian revolution (the stars) feel to it.
10-07-2003, 11:45 PM

The compositing of colors and drawing seems like Magic illustrations (lol, yes, Im a role friky)
