Hi all.

I just noticed this in 2011.

Is this normal? -type "pointLight" returns volumeLight as well..?

string $pointLights[] = `ls -l -v -type "pointLight"`;
// Result: |pointLight1|pointLightShape1 |volumeLight1|volumeLightShape1 //

yeah, that's normal and happens in earlier Maya's too. Volume lights presumably inherit their type from pointlights. If you want the exact type "pointLight", use the -exactType flag! ;)

string $pointLights[] = `ls -l -v -exactType "pointLight"`;:nathaN
