Hey guys

I downloaded the "mr_tile_render 1.0.0 (maya script)" from the Creative Crash resources so I could render for print.

I have no idea how to install this. I droped it in my script folder in "My documents" and maya cant find it. I even placed it in the program folder and it still wont work.

How do I use this?

I'm assuming there are more than just .mel files?
place any .mll files in C:/program files/maya version/bin/plug-ins

Skimmed through the readme. You put the mel file in your script dir.

When you run it it creates cameras. If you save your scene in the same dir as the bat files and use the name tilerendertest.mb you can then double click the chosen batfile (with same 3x3 etc setting as you used in maya).

I think tho that the bat files are mostly examples of how you can use it. If you select another filename for your scene you need to change it in the bat files.
Not the best solution really. Would have been smarter if it also generated the correct bat file.

Not a bat file workflow, but you could download Deadline and use the Tile Rendering option it has.

Deadline is free for single computer use (at least it was before we licensed it for our farm)
