I was just wondering if anyone around here has a succesful Firewire network setup between 2 (or more) PCs running winXP environment.
How is the process actually done? Must you simply get a 6 to 6 pin cable and connect it between the 2 PCs or is a special software for Firewire networking really necessary (ie: FireNet) or else some special configuration of the IP under the 1394 conecction in the Network Menu?

Many Thanks!

That is all you have to do. WinXP should automatically detect the connection and then you will be able to share resources between the computers.
