Killer Napkins 10-04-2003, 10:07 PM well ive always liked Yoji Shinkawas's style with the brush and the ink so i thought i'd try it..this started as like a 4 minute ink sketch then i turned it into somethin pretty cool when it was colered.. so i thought it was worth posting...

Hey I like it man, like the style too btw. Only crit is that I think his brown toe or heel looks a bit odd, and maybe his shoulder facing the viewer, cause of his armor plate it looks like his shoulder is a bit high
.
But over it's great, cool dynamics!

I agree w/ Astaroth.NL about the brown heel, but otherwise - I love those feet!
You should let this experience be a lesson and do more of these sketches - It's healthy to loosen up and kick out stuff quickly and w/out premeditation (which so often can become intertwined with self-consciousness).
When you say maybe you should "take more time on it..." No, I don't think so... I think you should take more time to work quickly like this, though.
And then you may end up with twenty sketches and one or two call out to you to create something more finished. I think this one has served it's purpose - to loosen you up and let you have fun.
Love that foot!
