Hey all,

Am ready to be battered by your constructive comments, I feel like editing your own reel as very hard task, going trough all those old clips and trying to look at em with sum fresh pair of eyes and decide if they really worth going on your reel, I certainly find it extreamly hard. So please fire away, be rootless....
On other hand I hope u like and enjoy it, it would certainly save me a lot o time on re-editing

well, ...
I think it's not really good compared to what you show on your website (don't know what is your part in the whole stuff i saw)

The lab and your Publishing works are more interresting. The download page itself (of the demoreel) looks cool and original.
Some kind of "the Attik" inspiration, but who's not (inspired)?

Your reel is not dynamic. You wanna show too much, too long, and finally, it does not help. And last thing because you've asked to be battered, the stuff you show in there is a bit over animated in general.

May be you should switch to "motion graphics" stuff i think, considerating the actual skills you have.
Don't you think?

At least, if i'm wrong for the upper suggestion, and to help you dealing with this reel:
keep about 5 to 10 sec per animation, and mix'em all in a shorter demoreel. It'll look better.

Agweed.

Theres some good stuff there, but not all of it is. If you cut out all the not-so-good stuff, you'd have a shorter reel that would make everyone think you're awesome.

Which isn't to say you aren't.

Yeah.

Awesome.

Uh huh.

I found when I cut my reel down to 15 seconds, I turned into the best friggen animator ever. The longer it is, the worse you look.

The best part of the reel IMHO is right at the end where you show the same alien character in a monologue, then a bouncey walk, a sneak and two runs. This is what should be on your reel. They need to see that you can animate the same character in a variety of motions. The alien's monologue (with the picket signs) is the best piece in there I think.

The credits animation is great, btw. :applause:

I have to agree with Ex Tessera that you never, ever want to show something bad on your reel. They will judge you by the worst thing on there and assume that is what you will normaly produce, with the better stuff being some kind of accident. Even if your reel is only 30 seconds long, but only super strong stuff, that is better than what you have now.

Great stuff guys, very much apreciated!
I guess all agree that it gotta be cut down in size. i'll try to cut it to around 2 min., (it's 2:35 at the time) and try to move things around a bit more.

Thanks for your input.

..and so I did, I've cut it down to 2 min, got rid of some of the stuff and rearrange the things a bit, hope it looks a bit more dynamic.
