Yes, there is a plugin:
Body Studio for Maya (http://www.reiss-studio.com/trade/productview/10/3/)
Why would you even think about animating in Poser when you have Maya? :shame:

i am doing an architectal modelin of a park ....big one, with peaple wondering around. and the fastest way to bring alot of peaple into my scean with basic walk animation some in lowpoly and some in highpoly is poser.
the problam is that this plug bodystudio cost way too much....
so if there is another way to accomplish my "mition" i would be happy to hear about it..
The only other way I'd know of would be exporting the Poser animation frame by frame as obj and importing it in Maya, but that would probably require you to at least fix the materials by hand.
Poser can export the animation as BVH as well, but in that case you'd need rigged figures in Maya to apply those to. The only exporter I have ever seen that'd export a Poser figure including a fully rigged skeleton into a native rig of the destination app is my Shockwave3D exporter, the ProPack and Body Studio plugins use the Poser engine inside the host app for the bone system.

to animate .. just move one slider :)

I have seen so many ppl who are looking for Poser to Maya connection.
Trinity for Maya is the newest plugin, as far a i know.
Still with minimum feature set, but that's until you guys give it a try and give us green light to flesh it up.
It's free, its in alpha, it doesnt do animation at the moment, but it definitely will !!!
You can import the model/uv/textures/materials/morph dials for now.
Your feedback is so appreciated.
it's http://trinity.rendermagix.com
Thank you.

Michel,
Your plugin looks great. I have used Body Studio and have imported Poser OBJs straight into Maya a far amount, so I'm definitely intrigued by your plugin. Here are a couple of questions.
Is it going to be free when it's a full release version?
Will you be able to modify the Poser rig once it's in Maya?
Can you go from Poser to Maya to Poser?
Will it import cloth simulations?
Do the Poser figures render in mental ray with out modifying them?
Firas, On a side note. I used a similar technique to import cloth animations. I used a mel script called "Scripter v1.1" to quicken the merging process.
Thanks.

Thanks tripNfall!
yes it will remain free.
you will be able to modify the morph dials (in the current 0.2 version) as well as the skeleton and JCM (in 0.4 version under development now) - there are couple animation tests in the gallery section for the morph dials.
We had some tests with mental ray, renderman and maya software render (right out of the box), some of them are in the gallery section on the web site and some in the alpha forums.
as for cloth simulation, its not currently in the plan but will definitely jump in once we get the basic features (there is a feature roadmap on the site)
what is the added value of taking model to maya and bringing it back in poser ? we are trying to move all possible functionality into Maya. let me know, i'm sure you have a good reason for that question.

Michel,
In general it's great to move all functionality over to Maya. However there are a couple reasons to go back and fourth. One reasons is Poser's cloth sim. The flow would go like this:
-Export Poser model
-Rescuplt model in Maya and animate, export
-load model and animation in Poser, run cloth sim, export to Maya
I realize this is a lot of work just for cloth and it's not even in your current build, but there is no inexpensive cloth sims for Maya, and Poser's cloth is pretty good.
Thanks for the info, your plugin looks really good.
