View Full Version : "freezing" vertex transformation

Hi

Is there a way to zero out vertex translation values, similar to what "make identity" does at transformation level? Ie I want the vertices not to move but to be zeroed out in the channel box.

I saw in another thread that polyMoveVertex can do this but it's far too slow to loop through all the vertices in the model - is there another way?

A quick way to do his is to combine the mesh with a cube and then separate it again and remove the cube from scene. This will reset all the translation info on the mesh back to zero. I hope this helps
