Our 30 minute 3d animated documentary about the Voyager probes was finished in July 2010. Originally designed for planetarias, the shots had to be produced and rendered in a resolution of 4096 x 4096px with fisheye cameras to ensure "nearly" distortion-free imagery on the full-dome screens. All together about 45 minutes of animation were produced and layered over the "main" movie.

In addition we created a DVD version and rendered out everything for the "flat" screen too. The DVD also comes with extensive bonus material and for that we also had to make more animations for.

The company "Zeiss" in Germany and "Sky-Scan" in the US starts to distribute the movie to planetarias worldwide.

I really like it!
But then again, in all honesty, I have also worked on this project... :)
