Hi,

I know this is probably very simple, but I'm struggling.
If you have a spline with ten points, and ten nulls, how do you get the points on the spline to attach to the respective numbered nulls? I can make the position of a single point affect where the null is:
Spline (Object) > (Object) Point (Point Position) > (Global Position) Null
But not the other way round for some reason, and also can't seem to rig up the hierarchy node so that it iterates through the list of points in the spline and attaches each of them to a null...
Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi,
this ist not so complicated. If you want to place points of a spline youŽll have to click on the blue square in the upper left corner of your point-node and create a new input port called "point position".
Connect this port with an Global Position-Output-Port (right side) of your null.

To iterate through the nulls, using the hierarchy node is okay. To get the iteration index use the "object index"-node for setting spline point number x to the x-th object in the chosen hierarchy.

I hope I was able to help you.

If your just trying to connect a spline to a group of nulls, just using spline-ik is really slick too. You just drop a tag on your spline, then drag your null controllers into the handles link fields. If your using an interpolated spline make sure your nulls are oriented correctly as the handles will effect the tangent orientation of the points. Which you can also adjust the length of the tangent in the handles attributes. Which can be very handy for dynamic setups that need the tangent lengths range mapped.
