BlueFish 10-04-2003, 12:49 AM Gday guys,
Knocked up a digital paint over the last few days. First time ever using painter!
Thoughts? Improvements? Some pointers to some excellent painter tutorials would be really helpful too.

Good use of color and scale. Hightlights are good. Hrm. Try to save the image with a better quality. The JPEG artifacts take away from the image a bit. Also, the shadowing from/on the mountains seems to be a bit flat. Or perhaps is the beach that seems that way. When I look at the beach/mountain transition, my eyes are not perceiving depth. Also, your incoming waves appear to come from a radial source as opposed to a more linear source. This may have to do with the depth thing as well. From the mountains up, the image seems fine. Perhaps detail the light rays a bit. Edge of the mountains looks nice. I like the color choices, but the who depth thing is what's holding it back.
