Hi all.
I have a problem with the colors of my pictures when printing my work.
Painter 8.
I got a HP deskjet 940c
and i try to print out a RGB TIF file.
The colors don't match the colors on the screen. This didn''t surprise me much but im wondering if it's possible to adjust the color of the printout version to fit the ones on the screen.

Someone knows how exactly this is done (color setting?)
any suggestions?

rgb is monitor display colors working with light... red green and blue channels..

a print out is a CMYK setup... as with all printed materials using ink
cyan magenta yellow and black

there arent as many colors in cmyk as is possible in rgb.. so convert you image to cmyk to get a better idea of what it is going to look like when you print it.. and if possible tweak it in this stage but realize it wont ever look exactly the same

Thanks this did help.
I did save it to a CMYK format and got a much better result when i printed it this way.
The only color that is quite off the initial color is a light pink which now is uhm very pink :D
looks like i got to live with it
