View Full Version : Vue 8 xStream - Maya 2010 Intergration?

Hello gang,
has anyone successfully intergrated Vue xstream 8.5 & Maya 2011?
I installed maya first then installed vue and chose "Maya 2011" but when i open maya
and load the vue shelf there is no "Open vue interface" icon.
I can load a vue atmosphere or entire scene into maya and add objects or dynamic simulations but there is no way, at least that i have found, to duplicate what you do in vue to appear in maya simultaniously like in previous xstream versions.
Also: when i loaded the plugin for vue through maya plugins, it said vue7xstream instead of vue8xstream. Anyone know why?
Or if this is correct?

This is a vue scene imported into maya then placed a meteor fuel/dynamic into it and rendered in maya software. (mentalray ignores the meteor)

Vue xStream for Maya is not a complete or working product. Use in Standalone mode, or simply use Maya instead. Maya can do everything Vue can anyway, and better, and faster.

Hmm... having you here InfernalDarkness...

Do you know any way that I can add realistic clouds and 3D perspective (ie like a horizon) in Maya? Like exposed in this thread I just started, I'd be glad if you could join in:
