View Full Version : Modeling bundle of strings

Hi guys, I'm having trouble of modeling strings to look exactly like strings in 3ds max, meaning to have the look of it although its actually easy to do just with multiple cylinders. I hope someone can share here some tricks, either in the technical or artistic way, to make the flow looking smooth and fluid. Below is an image of the kind of strings I was talking about, the lower portion of the accessory, thanks in advance for any help given!

You can also look into using spline or loft.
You try 'Hair and fur' too just make out a few strands using splines and then use hair and fur to interpolate.

or use Reactor and make the hair objects Soft Bodies.

or use Cloth functions.
