lookin pretty cool. d/ling the animation right now.... he has a lot of character. One thing i'm unsure of though is: do fish have nostrils? i might be wrong but i'm pretty sure they only hav gills?

how did you scale the eyes as well as the eye lids? that was cool. I like the look of the character.

I like talking fishes and this one too ;)
Nice and bright
Btw is the blur due to dof or motion blur(in bigger one)??

Cool fish design. Some real issues with the lip sync. The morph targets (or blendshapes) or whatever you used seem to snap to the extreme to quickly/without much smooth transition.
Don't mean to be a downer, but it's not Pixar quality, I know you weren't claiming it, but the others were and they're wrong.
But with some more work it definitely could be.
Great animation on the swim away.
Keep up the good stuff.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! :wavey:
I put the wrong anim file up the other day. It now has the audio file with it. Maybe that will help with understanding the lip-synch! ;) you can grab it HERE (http://www.flatboyproductions.com/Movies/George_HIREZ_AUDIO_sm.mov)
DaveMcD: From the refrences I had. It really looks like fish have nostrils. Dont they need to smell too?
lemerman9: The Eye Scaling (along with other movements) was created using lattice deformers. I used the Lattice to make the blendshape then I applied it to the eye and added a driven key to it (on the eye) so it would deform in the same way when I used that blend..
Psan: The blur is due to DOF on the larger one. On the smaller its a combination of DOF and motion blur.

it likes pretty cool, but I don't like the audio clip... doesn't suit him very well; but I think the relevant criticism to the work that you did, is I think his movement isnt very fishlike, while he's talking he should be floating up and down, and making fluttering his fins a little bit, and then when he swims off, I think it needs to be more fluid and fishy :surprised
