Does anyone know how to create a good terracotta tile shader. Because I am modeling a building and the exterior of the building is using a terracotta rainscreen and I do not want too much repitition in the texture.

Thanks in advance.

sorry not sure which software you refer to...my comments might be totally unsuitable...anyway.

for cinema 4d:

or deepshade.

for other stuff...try darktree...get the symbiot for your software...download the presets...something called clay roof tile in there is probably adaptable...if you want something else...dunno..
http://www.darksim.com

very low and wide specular channel..then plenty of grainy noise in diffusion (if you have a shader like rust in your software mix that) and colour channels (mix two noise type..one cloud on grainy+poss bit of falloff)...with sandy noise in bump....
experiment...
sorry can't be of more help.
