View Full Version : char:sci-fi guy
here is a character ive been working on. 2906 polygons and about 18 hours of work. I was posting the progress of it on Conceptart.org here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12133
most of the detail is in the bump map and i plan to bake them into the color map later on when all the textures are finished. alot of work needs to be done on them though.

It could just be the angle but the arms look a little short and stumpy. At the moment it's all looking a little samey texture wise.... but this is a nice piece keep at it!

I'm with jacobt on this one. Maybe a direct front view would change my mind, but the amrs do appear short and the general texture lacks contrast. But the model looks good and shows a lot of promise.
Thanks for the crits. heres a front view with a little bit more texture work. i stretched out the arms a bit, do they still look too stumpy? still have to work on the texture contrast

arms still look a little too short, but try and lower them down to his body...
the area that needs to be extended more is the forearm, because its near the same size as the upper arm, although on your model, his upper arm is longer then his forearm(at least thats what it looks like)
and it might just be me but the hands look a little skinny for a guy that big
other then those 2 things i like it :) gj
