Interesting character
Two things: His thumbs, in the position you have them now aren't anatonmiacally correct and will make it a pain to rig. If you look at your hand your thumb actually hangs way lower than your fingers, and bends across your palm.
And I don't know whether or not you're going to make an eyelid or not, but I think a Monster's Inc Mike eyelid will help give him alot more interest in the design and if you animate him, it will give him tons more emotion.
