I think she looks a bit wierd even for anime.. though I put this down to the fact that the shapes drawn in anime don't generally translate to 3d very well.

Because there's usually alot of emphasis on the eyes. Perhaps one could try to make the eyes actual mesh, give them alot of depth.:eek:

anyway It's a nice job on something that can be tricky to accomplish

she looks more like claymation. I think an anime character in 3D would have more detail in the arms and hair. Right now they look like lumps of clay.

I think she looks more like a sock puppett, or a stuffed animal. You should put more detail and articulation into the models you produce, or else when you meshsmooth it, it doesn't improve it much. You're on the right track, but you just need a little more work.
