This is the aquatic Beast that is responsible for swallowing Chris Janky after he made his infamous stage dive at his opera.

The grey background doesn't do it justice. Add a little something more exciting and maybe tweak the lighting a bit.

The creature looks great though, the textures seem a bit lowres at the moment but other than that, great work.

Too bad the blurry texture spoils it! :hmm: If you'd increase the resolution of the map, add more details to it an create a fine bumpmap this one would be absolutely suberb work. Then put it in a nice underwater scene and you have created some frontside stuff. I'm sure!

Work on it. Please!

Yes as said Xerc you have a very fine model but the texture is too much blurred, removing a lort of detail from what may have render the skin real. And a little bg with lighning setup will be better :)

Cool creature....nice details , anatomy looks technically realistic.
suggestions - What others said about textures and env + make the eye color black or some dark shade, work on nostrils....deepen the holes and it MUST have many big sharp teeth

Here are some updated renders of the beast. I have to do a spec map still, and texture the eye, and hopefully composite it into a scene. Comments were very helpful before, and I would welcome any further critique.

Now this is much better!
The cage mesh shows you are quite skilled concerning polymodeling. :applause: And the displacement is just !

Keep it up (and don't stop adding details to the color- and bumpmap yet!) I'm looking forward to seeing this baby in a scene... :wavey:

wow very nice.. my only concern is the texture looks a bit blurred to me, I personally would like to see more detail.

I've been so busy with other things, that I hadn't found time to properly detail this model; still, I did some touch ups, so check it out.

Very neat...reminds me of that one dino that beats up the T-Rex in Jerassic Park 3.

Is the inside of the mouth modeled?

Nice job

I agree, show some teeth. Looks really good. I like how the light reflects off of him like hes underwater.
